Opening the case is like opening a time capsule from the 1970's. In original near mint condition. The instrument was purchased, stored at home, and very rarely played. I'm the second owner and know the history of this instrument.
This is a rare vintage silver-plated King 3B Concert Trombone with F Attachment in its original hard King case (coffin). This instrument is in excellent ready to play condition. No dings, no dents, almost no wear, etc.
Just prior to this listing, I took the 3B to the local musical instrument repair shop that specializes in brass instruments only. It's been fully inspected, cleaned and lubricated. All parts of the instrument are in excellent working order: slide (silky smooth), tuning slides (fully adjustable, cleaned and lubricated), F attachment rotary valve, & lever (fully functional and quiet). They did a professional written appraisal (contact me for more info). The listing price that I'm asking, is significantly less than the appraised insurance value.
The best way for you to appreciate and appraise the fit and finish of this vintage instrument is to view the pictures and ask any questions you may have before buying (I have many other pictures, just ask). The silver plate finish is a near mint 9.5 out of 10 condition (not quite a 10 since polishing the silver plate with a silver polishing cloth left faint, light polishing swirls in a some areas, see pictures.
The King case has no visible dents, scuffs, scars, etc. The case looks brand new because it's been used to
    store the instrument
    ,
    not to travel with it.
