The main table is Corian or the like.
It is cracked width-wise but matters none in the usage of the machine.
End Table:
Laminated Particle Board. Double stacked for rigidity
and can be removed, remade, etc..... Whatever your needs are will dictate
what you do. The table is absolutely fine as it is. We rarely use the end.
Shop Built Safety Cover
We received it exactly as the photos show.
It has a safety cover that was built by the last owner to meet OSHA needs.
The belt is covered, pinch point protected, etc......
Works well, easy on, easy off.
Our Write Up:
This edge sander is one of Rodgers 74" platen models.
Although it is "commonish" to find Rodgers' Edge Sanders, nearly all are
the standard size of 8" x 50", AKA: a 48" edge sander. This sander is one of
their far less common 8" x 74" platen versions, making it a 72" edge sander.
If you have been wanting a 6 foot edge sander..... you know they are
astronomically priced. A 74" cast iron platen is extremely costly to produce
and then selling them is probably even harder. If you go looking, you will find
they don't even offer these as a Taiwanese Knock-Off.  Not many shops
actually need a 6' platen. But if you do..... they are indispensable.
In our own wood products manufacturing business, our most
popular product has several 60" lengths and our largest product
has several 72" lengths.  Having this long platen made a huge
difference in both quality and time. If your needs are in this realm
of these lengths..... this is your machine. It took us years to find
one priced right and now that we are no longer operating our
wood business, this sander is offered here.
